This is a decent and functional vest but if you are using it for kayak fishing please note that the floating padding on the back of this vest will make it uncomfortable for long periods of time. Time. I stand up fishing most of the time so this isn't a deal breaker. My main criticism of this vest is that the zippers are so badly rusted that they are unusable after a walk in the salt water. Yes, I should have washed this vest in fresh water as soon as I got home from a trip, just like I do my coils, but hindsight it's always 20/20. All zippers are almost gone. I really liked all of the pockets on this vest for storing gear, phone and other personal items, but for now the pockets are useless as the zippers no longer work. I would not recommend this vest to anyone planning to wear it in salt or brackish water unless you plan on rinsing ALL the zippers very well when you get home.
