The Shark Rocket has three filters that can be cleaned or replaced. I believe that washing these filters really isn't the best course of action. Dusty filters are messy to handle and take a long time to dry thoroughly enough to be used again (they can't be wet at all), so it's best to replace them. In the kit you get 3 sets of filters. The vacuum cleaner sounds better and sucks better when new filters are installed (even compared to installing cleaned filters).
