We ordered these lights to use at night in our above ground pool. Yes, they do come with a remote. Wait, 4 remotes. Each remote works all lights so we have back ups, but the remote has to be basically directly on top of the light to work. That means, once the lights are submerged the color and light pattern can no longer be changed unless you pull them back to the surface. There were other lights I was looking at that were magnetic, I should have gone with those because that would have allowed them to sit on the wall of the pool instead of on the floor where they can get stepped on. All in all, they are ok. Not good, not bad, just ok.
