These watercolors are pretty; They are very metallic and are great for practicing brush painting. The only drawback for me is the smell. At first I thought my laptop on the table next to me was overheating, but it was cold. It took me about a minute to realize it was the paint I had smudged. Yes, they smell like overheated electronics (especially big 90's TV monitors that you have to turn off at least every hour or so. If you know, you know.) I don't know if this is an additive binder or one of the Mica used in paints, but it is extremely unpleasant. If you're sensitive to smells, I'd keep looking. If you are not allergic to pollen, you can use them during allergy season when you don't feel anything. And I'll draw with the window open since it's spring now! 😅
