Cheap wood. I had to unscrew and redo the latches myself so they could close. It didn't help that the lid itself was a bit crooked. While I was fixing the latch, everything that was put on the chest to make it look aged fell out of my hands. The rest of the chest fulfilled its function. Was a gift for my D&D Jailer to store his bones, notes, miniatures and pens.
