Excellent camera. It's more boxy than the similar GX85 and offers (very marginally) better color reproduction and IQ, although you'll have to look into the Pixel to see that. in relation to the GX85. The GX85 is, in my opinion, one of those rare 4/3 cameras that accurately captures all the important things, and the GX9 adds a bit of techno sweetener to this established superb cake. The GX9's screen is excellent, usability is very good, and indoor shots in low light are generally above average and enjoyable. Fast autofocus and relatively simple menu navigation. a later Sony than a later Canon. I use Prime Olympus and Pany Glass and have only used the included telephoto lens for a few minutes and it's surprisingly above average and fairly light. I posted 2 photos for you, taken with my GX9 image set on "St. Standard", Contrast +1, Saturation +1, Sharpness 5/7. At this setting, the IQ is pretty sharp. Look closely at the 2 photos and know that they are live jpeg images from the camera. The first photo shows an approximately 20" tall gray sandstone angel and the second photo shows an approximately 2.5" tall blown glass ram. high. Look at the details of the Ram glass, = fluorescent kitchen lights, "P", all on "auto". This camera is pretty much set and forget, indoors or out. Is there a downside? I would put the camera on a C, and the battery door is uncomfortable, not smart. I think if you like Pany products like the LX100 or any of their later cameras then this camera will continue your good feelings. It's a $1,000 camera so they're not giving it away entirely, but you get some damn good glass and also a good tool for quick, easy, and beautiful photography. And the last. This camera is not designed for selfies. It's meant for photography, so keep that in mind. Buy a good selfie phone and a real camera to take photos. Like this.
