When I bought these brushes they were $7.99 for a pack of ten, so they were only about 79 cents each. Considering the cheap price I would give them 4 stars. You can only expect them to last 5-10 minutes with gentle to moderate buffing, and significantly less with harder pressure. Brass is soft enough to clean most metals without scratching in my experience and they seem ideal for removing rust from small tools etc. They certainly aren't synonymous with high-quality brass brushes, which are significantly more expensive, but again, they only cost 79 cents. I highly recommend wearing safety goggles when using it (as you should with any power tool) as the small bristles will fly out and hit you. That's the only reason I deducted a star. Also in comparison to the price and performance, it is worth buying them.
