I bought this to replace a crockpot. There are many features that I liked. Being able to brown/saute in the same pan is a definite bonus. The unit is attractive and appears well made. While setting the cooking temps and times isn’t difficult to figure out, I would have preferred two settings for slow cooking, both high and low, and the ability to adjust the warm time. I also don’t care for the cooking pot. It is more difficult to clean than the other ceramic bakeware that I own. Also, I find that I miss the tempered glass lids of my previous crockpots to be able to see what was going on. Initially I thought I would use the dutch oven component on the stove, but found I prefer to use my regular cast iron instead. So overall not a bad device, but kind of expensive if you are primarily going to use it as a slow cooker.
