We bought these for all the nightstands in our house - for our own bedroom and two guest bedrooms. We chose this because we really appreciate the hotels that have them and curse those that don't. Let's be realistic: everyone wants to have their phone with them at night, and when you travel you take things with you that you want to charge for the night - phone backup batteries, Fitbits, etc. etc. So why not introduce that to our guests same ones available?They're small so they don't take up much space on the bedside table, and while you can mount them on the back of the bedside table (like some bedside tables that have plugs built into the back), they don't as they're not unattractive , we like to place them where they are easy to use.
