For those of you who are short on time, you can skip reading the title of this review and just buy it. This is my first wireless charger so I didn't know what to expect when I ordered it and was a little apprehensive. However, since I received it I have been very impressed with everything about it. Set up was easy: unpack, plug one end of the cable into the back of the device, plug the other end into a wall or outlet, done. I wasn't sure if this would work with my phone as I have quite a thick "body glove" case on my phone, but it works great. I can't tell how fast it charges compared to a caseless phone because I haven't tried it without a case, but I can say that it charges my phone pretty quickly, going from about 50% to 100% in about 90 minutes. Plugging my phone directly into the wall with a factory charger charges about twice as fast, but I'm sure this case on my phone slows down wireless charging a bit. I am skeptical that this wireless charger uses a fan for cooling. I was afraid there would be noise but there isn't. And by nobody, I don't mean I can't even get it to my ear to hear it because it's dead quiet. The only way to tell if the fan is running is to hold a tissue near the vent. And the fan runs while the fabric begins to flutter slightly. But that fan spins so slowly that I even wonder if a fan is needed, especially since the phone and charger barely heat up while charging. When you charge your phone, a green light on the front comes on for a few seconds to let you know it's charging, but then the light goes out so you can't see anything while the phone is charging. And when the phone is fully charged, the device seems to turn itself off because the phone is no longer slightly warm when you pick it up after it is fully charged. So I'm not worried about charging. I installed it next to my computer monitor and this design is good because when my phone gets a call I can just look at it instead of picking up the phone. to look at the phone screen. Simply put, this charger performs well, is attractive and well built. It's very light but not flimsy. For my purposes this is exactly what I need and I can't think of anything that needs improvement. highlighted.
