Overall these are great boots, especially for under $100. There are some issues I've had as a tall person. The soles felt extremely "hard" for lack of a better word and were painful to break in. However they fit pretty well and are light enough, I usually wear a 14 in a large size and their 14w was perfect (you never know which one until you buy a specific brand or style). The soles are a bit sad and will not last long, it would be better if the soles were Vibrams, I will replace them with such. I bought them in May to work on a pig farm and the leather and shape hold up well with regular lubrication but I won't take them again, the tread is not suitable for my work and I refuse to break another pair . TimberlandPros, for a man who lives with daily leg pain, it's like walking on two concrete slabs for a month. Probably not a problem for people not north of 300. The laces held up well too, but that vertical eyelet needs replacing as it ends up cutting the laces. The speedhooks are heavy not flimsy but they could be strengthened as the heel on the top two is curved now, no problem just the laces slip when I put them on sometimes. They've outlived all of their predecessors and I'm impressed, but not for me in the long run.
