I bought this product for 3 main reasons: * Memory card reader * Connecting an external monitor to my laptop * Connecting a network cable to my laptop Unfortunately it failed in 2 of the above purposes: * Device card readers are im VERY slow compared to my card reader. The maximum speed I get is 40 MB/s. Usually even less. I'm getting consistent speeds of 85MB/s on my Dell laptop.* The HDMI port is VERY slow. I'm having a terrible experience on my external 4K monitor. The screen refreshes VERY slowly. It was so annoying that I had to reconnect my monitor to my Dell's HDMI port. The result is MUCH better and smoother.* The network speed is decent and can sometimes reach a stable 100 MB/s (local). and fairly small if portability is your concern. I am very disappointed in this product. For me it's a waste of money. There's a reason good docking stations cost a lot of money. If you want the best performance from your docking station, look elsewhere.
