Cleaner, oil and wax seemed to work fine as described by other customers. Definitely better than the vegetable oil I accidentally used. I noticed that when applying the oil with the black applicator brush, pieces of the black sponge broke off the surface of the wood. I'm not sure if I have a bad sponge or bad technique. I think if you only had bottles of product you could use your own application sponges or microfiber towels. Wooden handles are beautiful and the mop itself is made from natural materials. The problem only exists with the black sponge applicator. A bit crumbly and I have to wash off the black spots after applying the oil. The oil is natural, not petroleum based, and seems to work well.
