I decided to buy this shelf for my Echo Point because the previous wall mount/stand mount I had for it was covering my bottom outlet because it was too long and hitting the base of the counter below, which forces me to use the top exit. I have two of these installed in my house. The sliding panel on top made it very easy to hide the cables. I will say that the GFCI outlet I installed had a much tighter fit between the power plug and the inside of the shelf than what I installed on a standard outlet. I was still able to insert the plug into the outlet with some effort to get the cord up.
