Unfortunately, there aren't many good ways to fix small tears or holes in vinyl. Since I didn't need a whole set of patches, I decided to try this "seat repair" on two motorcycle seats. One had a small tear where the vinyl was wrapped in a corner on the bottom and the other had a small hole on the bottom edge which I was hoping would make it a little more aesthetic and seal off the foam inside from the to protect elements. .Well, the pictures speak for themselves. The crack along the underside of the first seat was easily repaired by applying a fairly thick bead of this product in 2 coats. However, despite careful puncture on the other seat, no care resulted in a smooth finish or even fill. I went over it 3 times in fairly thin coats but even when it looked good "wet" it was a lot more uneven once it dried. It really doesn't look any better in the end than it did when it started, which is a shame. The product appears to "bind" and melt easily the vinyl it comes in contact with. It was more of a challenge to puncture when trying to be gentle, but the product made the material itself soft and sticky. In addition, the running time is very short. You have about 20 seconds to place and smooth the bead before risking damaging the bond by touching the product. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the price compared to other "repair" options, but I don't think I would buy again.
