Just like the original, only better!

I have a 2011 Lexus IS F with a 5.0L V8 engine that I take very good care of. I study every detail that I put on my car because I drive it very hard on the streets and circuits. I usually use Toyota/Lexus parts as I feel the engineers/designers were probably right when designing the car they made. Technology improves over time and the new part is proving to be better than the one on the machine I'm upgrading. This filter is just like the original, only better. I showed a photo of a regular Toyota/Lexus filter for my car's 2UR-HES engine (Toyota/Lexus Part 04152-51010). As you can see the original Toyota/Lexus filter has no end caps. So it's designed to filter the oil properly and no unfiltered oil will bypass the ends and damage the engine. This is the very filter that my dealer and I have been installing for years. The K&N filter is exactly the same design as the original EXCEPT the filter material is better with higher filter quality. I believe another reviewer stated that it filters at the 10 micron level, which is higher than the standard 20 or 30 micron filters. I have used K&N in my 1969 Big Block 455 442 for years with no problems. I use K&N in my daily IS F driver with no problem. Make sure you research the parts you're putting in your car, whether it's a Prius or a Porsche, it deserves a quality part that will last you as long as possible. This K&N filter tops the list based on my research on the available filters for my car.
