I ordered them back in May after being ordered again with custom plates. It took me over three and a half months in California to get my records. They sent me the wrong tool and I couldn't install it. I was so disappointed. I messaged the seller on Friday. He replied immediately, apologizing and saying he would mail the correct instrument on Saturday or Monday. Remember that it is now August. Three weeks later I still haven't received the correct fee. I emailed the seller again who again apologized and explained that he must have gotten lost in the mail and that he would send another one, this time to make sure he got a tracking number. Let me tell you, I spotted it like a hawk, but with a lot less patience! The tool finally arrived today, well actually today, yesterday. Saturday 15 September. The first thing I did was enthusiastically install them. The front panel was fast and light. The back plate is not very good. They fit, but they don't fit at the same time. I think maybe they were just too long. It was a snug fit and I wasn't sure if they were secure enough, although I pulled on the plate and it didn't seem to come loose. old screws from the back (which are also not standard flat or Phillips screws) and used them to secure the bottom of the back plate. I then screwed these screws onto the top of the back plate making sure they were tight. I put caps on the screws (which I really like). The black license plate frame I ordered actually covered the bottom bolts I used. With no visible screws, this gives the cymbal a beautiful, elegant look. The plates are well protected and I don't have to worry about someone stealing my plates. unfortunately something that has become increasingly common in this country over the years. I am very satisfied with these screws and the seller. His communication was courting, curious and quickly resolved any issues. I can honestly and without hesitation recommend both the screws and the seller. Oh I used these screws on a 2012 VW Passat TDI SEL if that helps. Many Thanks. 🙂
