I don't have a Xencelabs pen but do have a 2mm tipped universal pen. Although the tips I use are 2mm wide (or just under 0.08 inches compared to their advertised width of 0.07 inches) and my tips will expand and then reach a point, I still decided to to try them out. Xencelabs tips are actually .0665 inch or 1.70mm wide rods (constant width along the rod and then a curved, tapered tip at the end). Kinds will work for me, although a felt tip pen is more convenient. The problem with permanent markers on a non-retractable pen like the one I have is that when I toss it in my bag it sticks to all the lint and picks up every bit of dust and is easier to damage. Overall, these are decent quality nibs at a reasonable price (just measure your nibs carefully if you're considering anything other than Xencelabs, and be aware of whether or not the nibs you're replacing have different-width stems. )
