Review on Guitar Hero World Tour Replacement Cymbal Wire Cable Set - Left and Right - High-Quality Solution by Jeremy Yuusuf

Big Money Saved

Like many people, the orange cymbal on my Guitar Hero drum kit suddenly stopped working. This is a common problem and you can read about all the problems on the internet. Most proposed solutions fall into one of two camps. 1) Buy a new drum kit. 2) Get out your soldering iron and get ready to fix consumer electronics. I didn't like either of these options as I don't have money for a new drum kit, no soldering iron (no electrical repair skills). But I went with this replacement cable because I figured it was cheap enough to try. And if that solves the problem, all the better. Replacing the cable wasn't as easy as I thought. This is not an official "plug and play" replacement part. This involves disassembling the entire drum set, a little PCB fiddling, and quite a bit of time. There are no instructions, but it's easy enough to follow where the new cable should go, but you have to be careful. I bent the wires the first time I tried to attach it and I was afraid I had accidentally ruined the whole thing. Even without skill, I was able to reattach the new cable and drum kit. What do you know? The orange panel is working again! I was shocked but happy. The solution is neither quick nor easy. But cheaper than buying a new drum kit!
