Perfect for early education

This is exactly what I was looking for to start teaching my 2 year early preschool curriculum, I actually ended up buying a second one so I could put posters up for my kiddo to look at that are slightly out of reach (there are two flannel boards in the picture). The shapes that come in this set are felt hot glued to Velcro, all of the other posters and cards in the main picture are ones I've printed, laminated and stuck velcro stickers onto. This board probably is not the same quality as some of the $40+ options out there, but if you are just looking for a simple felt board for your kiddo to play with I absolutely think this one is a great option for the price. A word of warning to anyone who decides to use the hooks that come in the set, they do not come off very cleanly when trying to remove or readhere. I had to readjust one and accidentally ripped paint off of our wall. After pulling the paint off the first time I did figure out that if you carefully twist them side to side it should loosen them enough to pull off without tearing paint off. Sticking command strips to the backs of these, or using command hooks instead may be a better alternative if you are renting and don't want to risk damage the walls. The mat itself is thick enough that it won't tear, but does seem to keep it's creases from shipment (which doesn't bother me, but likely could be ironed out), and also does like to bow out a bit in the middle when hanging. I used a little scotch tape in the middle of mine to keep it in place, but you probably could stick a Velcro sticker onto the wall to help keep it in place.

Pros
  • Dress Up & Pretend Play
Cons
  • The price point may be too high for some parents, making it an impractical purchase
