I needed a laptop stand because the flimsy plastic laptop stand I was using broke. My husband bought one for me online but it was terrible. He didn't even read the details or the reviews. So I went online and found two that fit my criteria, but settled on this one. It had a few extra slots for height/angle adjustment that I found useful. There are pads that prevent scratching the furniture. It's very compact and literally folds into a bag with a drawstring - love it! The elegant aluminum color opens like an accordion and then you select your desired corner slots. It's perfectly solid when you put your laptop on it and they're heavy. The only thing I miss is that it doesn't rotate. Sometimes I want to change the angle. Otherwise perfection!
