This filter makes fine dust very easy to manage and can be washed and reused over and over again. With a vacuum cleaner we clean our chinchilla cage, which is full of bath dust (very fine sand, similar to wall panel dust). Such material would either pass through a regular filter or clog in minutes, but this filter works great. I am sure that it will also get along well with construction dust. It's worth the extra cost because it lasts so long.
