A niche that is too deep will not hold the barbell.
I tried to install it on my 2018 Africa Twin Adventure Sport and it didn't tighten or snag on the steering wheel. It seemed to me that the semicircular niche was too deep. I ended up having to sand down the top to keep it on the pole. Thanks to the seller for reaching out to me after writing this review and giving me a full refund for the product.
