Build quality: This device is all metal, only the USB-C cap is plastic. That being said, the lid started to loosen up quite a bit after just a few days of use, and if you just slide this disc over my keys, the lid pops open as I walk. I put a small metal ring on the bottom of the drive so you can attach it to your key ring (see pictures). Does it do what it says?: Yes. This is a very good combo drive for those who have switched to a USB-C laptop but still need to work with USB-A devices from time to time. Also, the read and write speeds are as advertised (see images) and can sometimes be slightly higher than stated. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I would like the disc to be a bit bigger. Because it's so small, sometimes I feel like I'm losing it. Also the lid on this disc is ok but could be better but I'm picky.
