Review on Deluxe Wooden Storage by Melissa & Doug by Mike Slippy

These blocks are JUST OK. To be honest if I could give a real review I would give it 2.5 stars. What I like about these blocks: 1. colorful2. made of wood 3. durable 4. They're a good decent size, not too big and not too small (although I wouldn't mind if they were a bit bigger)5. comes with a bag for you to store the blocks6. these blocks consist of letters, numbers and mathematical symbols7. Letters, numbers are not stickers and are not only painted, but cut/etched. next to animals they stand out, what i don't like about these blocks: 1. so many image repeats! for example there are 4 blocks with the same four characters/letters on the side (I don't really need a repeat)2. Some of the painted flowers are either faded or peeled off when we received them (some of the animals were etched brown and the color is fading)3. The way they are designed is poor (if a block has an A on one side and an N on the opposite side, you might think the other two sides are made up of animals associated with A or N (NO! completely different animals that start with different letters!) If I could improve on these blocks, I would have a block dedicated to a letter of the alphabet. eg BLOCK 1 has uppercase and lowercase A on opposite sides, then there are two animal or fruit designs beginning with the letter A. I bought these blocks because they were on sale at the time (it was during the Black Friday sale). If I could, I wouldn't buy them, instead spending my money on other better devices.
