Even works with my Moto Z2 Force USB-C. But NOT for Nintendo Switch or similar.

For those who don't know, according to Motorola's documentation, the Z2 Force doesn't support USB-C video transmission. So when I plug in a regular USB-C to HDMI MHL adapter (which I tried) I get nothing, not even a confirmation from the phone. However, this is not a problem with this device as it is not a simple USB HDMI device, but something more complex. It actually has a splash screen when nothing is plugged into its micro USB. The app must also be installed for this. The app is called "MiraPlug" so please search for this app in the App Store before you buy this converter. So if you're considering this for your Nintendo Switch, if you don't have a way to install and use the MiraPlug app on your Nintendo Switch, this isn't what you want. It's worth noting that the output is capped at 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz, so not a 4K device. However, the 1080p picture looks very good. Your phone/tablet must also be connected to this device via Bluetooth as this is the way audio is transmitted to this device to be heard on the TV. I am assuming that this device uses all USB bandwidth for video and relies on Bluetooth to deliver the audio portion of the program. Disabling bluetooth on the phone will result in audio playing through the phone or another bluetooth speaker paired to the phone instead of through that adapter, which is actually a very nice feature when you think about it. For example, you can watch videos on TV but listen to audio through headphones. There is no lag between the sound and the image on the screen, however there is a barely noticeable lag between the HDMI output and the actual screen on the phone. This delay, if any, is a tenth of a second. Basically, you can easily play the game on your phone while watching it on your TV screen through this device. In summary, if you want a wired connection to a video monitor or HDMI from your phone/tablet to something, phones that don't support HDMI over USB-C, or if your device is only micro-USB, can use this thing such as OBS Studio for recording and/or live streaming. However, this is NOT what you need for a Nintendo Switch or similar as I mentioned. It is a simple USB to HDMI converter that requires an app to be installed on your phone/tablet. I'm also not sure if this will work with Fire tablets as they may or may not have access to the MiraPlug app. So search for MiraPlug in the App Store before considering this adapter.
