This one really works!

I bought this for a trip to Europe for my 12 volt DC powered snowboard boot heater/air conditioner which works fine in my car on the way to and from the slopes but I France we Will be using the free shuttle system and I don't have the time or a DC cigarette lighter so I had to somehow turn on the heat in our apartment. It doesn't matter what mains power you connect this unit to, 90 to 250 volts AC, although it does come with a standard Edison plug on a universally available replacement mains input cord. However, I can just plug it into universal adapters and plug into any 220 volt outlet around the home or find a two prong cord there if I have time and then discard the adapter. Does not matter. I tested this feature at home, first using a standard Edison 120 volt home outlet and plugging in a dryer. The dehumidifier is rated at 35 watts, which is 2.9 amps (35/12 volts = 2.9 amps), and also has a relatively low current draw, but there are others that are higher. Also, many small AC/DC converters will burn out at that current draw, so having more than you need was important. This device is rated for 10 amps so I could connect other devices via a splitter if needed. I then plugged the Edison socket into a range plug and plugged the whole thing into a 240 volt range socket I have in my garage to see if this thing would actually work at high and low voltage and lo and behold, it works! So far, so good! Will update after spending 6 weeks drying my boots daily, ultimate test!
