So far so good. I have used them on snowshoes with my regular hiking boots and they are great and keep my toes warm. if you are going to use them all the time. I've seen that when the snow gets heavier and you take off your snowshoes, they won't be as pretty. You need a regular pair of alligators to just walk in the snow without snowshoes because the part of these alligators that wraps around your toes to the bottom of your shoe is slippery under your toes and wears out quickly. me that I plan to use them also with my MTN bike in the snow, I use clipless pedals and I think they will be perfect. They don't interfere with the cleat on the sole of my shoes and allow me to wear regular cycling shoes in the winter with added warmth and wind protection on my shoes. Absolute WINNER! So, for mountain biking and showing snow in good powder, they're fantastic. For outings where you need extra protection but don't wear snowshoes all the time, you'll likely need the traditional alligators of yesteryear.
