I love the heel support in this shoe, it's trendy and comfortable. I ended up buying two pairs because I dyed the first pair. If you plan to wear socks I would recommend going up half a size as they are snug fitting. I wear a 6.5 but will be buying a 7 to see if I can wear socks without cutting off circulation to my ankles. I recommend them to anyone with planter fasciitis. This is a less expensive way to get some relief. The recommended Vionics shoes from Ortho were a bit expensive for me. Hope this helps someone. Update Can be worn with Think Dress socks but not much more unless you go up a full half ie 6.5 to 7.5. Thin socks definitely don't work where I am in winter so I might buy 1 more or just put them away and wear them in spring so the snow doesn't soil them :)
