I was skeptical about this high end microphone. Finding good condenser mics has been difficult lately because many people are considering these "budget" mics for various podcasts or YouTube/Twitch usage, and while happy with the results, the same budget mics would work well in work in a small production studio? As opposed to using it on social media, am I looking for something that captures a neutral response in a well-air conditioned space, offers headroom, and offers a bit of color? I can say that everything is YES with this microphone. For the price, this offers a very neutral color with little loading, which is important for most mid-range instruments and vocalists. In fact, compared to some other studio mics, I prefer it for baritone over alto players because of the clarity. There's a slight drop in response at high frequencies (beyond most purposes), but that's what other mics are designed for. or instruments, I think it offers great sound for the money. I wouldn't want to use it for higher frequency instruments or things like bird calls etc compared to some other mics. But if you don't have a choice (and many people might not), this mic delivers very professional results at a really reasonable price. I'll probably get another one soon.
