Fits very close to the female end.

when it arrived everything looked good, looked well made and durable. However, when I tried to plug some USB-A into the USB port socket, it was a problem. The fit is SUPER TIGHT. I guess it might "hack" but after a week or so I gave up, bought another brand/product and threw this one in the trash.
