Gift marred by poor quality chain clasp

The small pendant is lovely and I would have given this more stars but unfortunately the really poor quality spring catch on the chain did not close properly. So I had to go to a local jeweler and have a new clasp put on (a lobster claw this time). It's a shame that such a potentially nice gift was damaged by lack of a proper catch that would have cost only a few cents more done in quantities at the manufacturing point.
