Okay, the taste is far from pleasant, but somehow it's a combination of baking soda and neem oil (used as a natural pesticide for hundreds of years) and cinnamon oil works wonders for gum health. To be honest the first time I tried it I wasn't happy with the taste but decided to be patient and use it as it's expensive for the small jar you get. A month later I ordered another can. I liked how healthy my gums were and how less sensitive my teeth were. My dentist was surprised at the reduction in the periodontal pockets during the next regular tooth cleaning. I have tried many other "natural" toothpaste brands in the past; They all contained xylitol and tasted pretty good, but I've never experienced such a dramatic improvement in my oral health as with this product.
