. I received this Toshiba convection toaster just 3 days ago and after plugging it in and turning it on to bake a 12 inch pizza I noticed a light during the cooking Buzz. well versed in mechanics, I recognized this hum, similar to the hum of an electric motor that "hangs" and won't spin. I finished the 9 minute cook cycle, removed the pizza and rack, switched the oven back to pizza mode and felt no air at all from the vent/circulation holes in the right hand interior. I then turned the oven on to full convection oven settings and by shining a flashlight through the slots in the right hand cabinet, I could see that the convection fan motor "jerked" just a little when it turned on, but would not turn on. Also in the entire range "up to operating temperature". I doubt even 5% of buyers even checked if this fan works or not. Got a refund yesterday as there was only this one left. I had serious doubts about the reliability and durability of the unit as I could see that the motor(s) were one of the cheapest types ever made. I had no problems with the temperature settings since I had 10° intervals. I see other people getting so unnecessarily frustrated that they can't set *exactly* 375 or other specific settings. ALL oven thermostats are not as accurate and all have "scatter" when turning elements on or off. Often the range is 20° plus/minus or so. It is in order. Don't get hung up on the "exact" temperature, as its "control" is widely exaggerated and misunderstood. No oven maintains the actual specific temperature. No one. You are mistaken if you think so.
