Review on Fellow Raven Stovetop Tea Kettle - Teapot with Stainless Steel Loose Leaf Tea Infuser and Thermometer, Non-Whistling, Matte Black, 1 Liter by Fred Vazquez

I bought the Fellow Raven stovetop kettle because it's the nicest option available and the matte black color suits my kitchen well. I hesitated before buying because it doesn't whistle when the water is ready. I've always relied on the kettle's whistle to call me into the kitchen. While it's nice to have a thermometer, I don't see why it can't also whistle - even if it whistles with low tea temperatures (like green tea etc.). When choosing a whistle or a thermometer, I would choose a whistle. Let me tell you, it looks amazing in my kitchen. I haven't had it long enough to know if I'd have the same issues as the other reviewers regarding the handle melting and the end detaching from the bottom. If there was a whistle I would bet 5!
