Good product for me, I was satisfied with the price.

If you have a budget build in an inexpensive and noisy case like the Zalman Z9 Plus, don't care about the noise, and don't have the money for an SSD for the foreseeable future, the Seagate ST1000DM003 is a great choice. The disk is very fast, for a year of use it did not cause any complaints about reliability. If you want storage for a hi-end silent system, WD would be the way to go.

Pros

The disk is very fast. When switching from WD Blue, Windows boot speed increased, response time decreased. Considering that all hard drives are now made by either Seagate or WD, Seagate is the best choice when speed is at a premium.

Cons

Terrible, just terrible noise. It's like being scratched on the brain with nails. Foolishly tried to make a quiet system in a Fractal Design Define R4 case from SSD + HDD and installed a Seagate ST1000DM003 HDD from my old computer. Every session of using the PC sounded like it was about to take off into space. The video card XFX R9 290X Double Dissipation at 100% rpm is modestly lost against the background of this noise.
