to remove severe scratches from the door panel caused by very severe ones.

This product was used for 2 different applications. 1 to restore the headlights. 2 to remove severe scratches from the door panel caused by a very strong and windy storm that dragged a metal deck chair across the yard into the car. For headlight restoration, this thing was amazing. DO NOT buy any of these Headlight Restoration Kits, buy this one instead. It's a lot cheaper, it works, and it doubles as a scratch remover. All you need to restore your headlights is polish, a slightly damp cloth (any cloth will do), and a bucket of water. It is so easy. Apply the composition to a rag, rub the headlight, rinse with water from a bucket, repeat if necessary, wipe and dry with the dry side of the rag. These are original 1999 headlights with over 170,000 miles of wear without a restoration. It took a lot more effort to remove the scratches to remove them. It mostly worked. It took about 4 or 5 rounds of rubbing hard into the scratch, wiping with a microfiber cloth, and resting (also palm rest) for 5 or 10 minutes each. Finally, apply wax to protect the clear coat. I suggest trying this scratch remover first, and if you can't remove it, use Nu Finish's heavier scratch remover. The idea is that you want to go lighter with a clear coat, especially if your car is old and the paint hasn't been properly cared for. Conclusion, buy. Great bang for the buck
