Although this is a nice bag it's too small to suite my needs. I work in a professional setting while attending school in the evenings. I needed a bag I could take to work that holds my 13 inch MacBook, iPad/textbook, planner, contents of my purse (i.e. wallet, keys, lip stuff, women stuff, etc.) and water bottle. Also, I prefer not to carry a purse during the winter months so, the attached bag held everything well (although I was a tad bit nervous carrying it because the straps are flimsy). I prefer a tote to a backpack because to me, it looks more professional and ladylike (plus I love tote bags 😁). Again it's a nice bag for someone who doesn't require a lot of room just not for me.
