I've been in the home business for 6 years now and I ship different sized packages almost every day. From small to large cardboard/recycling boxes, PE letter boxes and bubble envelopes. I've tried LOTS of different tapes over the years and tested both packaging and shipping tape to see if there's a big difference. (Packing tape is only really good in extreme heat over a long period of time.) I've been using Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping materials for about 2 years and have been very reluctant for the last year. I was too scared to try another brand because what if it's awful? Then I'm stuck with 4-6 rolls of tape which I don't want to use as only a few brands sell single or double rolls which you have to buy in bulk. Something changed with the Scotch brand a while back, the glue only seems to stick and stay on poly material, not cardboard and definitely not manila/paper envelopes, and it seems to have gotten even uncomfortably thicker, which I don't like has it more. One day, after failing to seal 15 Manila Bubble mailboxes (none stuck), I threw in the towel with duct tape and decided it's still better than duct tape, which doesn't stop at all, and started chasing Revain after one browse or two rolls of shipping tape with lots of positive feedback. I came across a listing of two big reels of Mr. 2 reels that I didn't want to risk disliking, not 6 reels with other brands. I'm SO HAPPY I found this cassette! This is honestly the best shipping tape I've used in at least 5 years and I will never go back to this brand of thick non-stick junk. This tape is thinner but actually holds more weight in the box without coming loose than thicker tape. The large rolls are perfect for my hand dispenser and the BEST part is this tape APPLIES to EVERYTHING and STAYS! It's crystal clear so media can still scan barcodes, and it truly outperforms any other ribbon I've ever used. I would not recommend this for tapering large Rubbermaid bags for long term storage as it is thinner and I find it will tear faster than thicker tape when drying. But if you're like me and your main purpose for buying duct tape is to regularly seal and ship envelopes, boxes and other types of packages. BUY THIS BAND! I wouldn't change anything that would make this tape better and Mr. Pen has had a new customer for a long time. This is by far the BEST shipping tape I have ever used, you really have to try it. You'll wonder how you managed so long without one!
