I bought it both for my mother as a gift and for myself because it looked so beautiful. This is an absolutely amazing sight. I'll probably have to buy another one for my dad because he's a carpenter and he thinks it's so pretty he wants one in his bathroom. Both my mom and I leave it for everyone to see because it's so beautiful. Oh, and they are very comfortable brushing their hair. It can make things a LITTLE bit static, but not so much that it's any more than other brushes with the same bristle type. One super amazing thing that I don't think is listed is that it comes with a few extra bristles. So if they are lost or broken, you can replace them. I haven't had this problem in the 5 months I've had it, but it's a good thing I've never seen it with any other brush.
