This is the perfect size. It's about the size of a large bound book. Lightning moves smoothly, doesn't get stuck. The zippers move easily around the edges. Each page has sections. The elastic separating the page holds about 4 crayons. Each page has two lines, one at the top and one at the bottom. There are also two small mesh pockets for sharpeners or short pencils, maybe even erasers. However, the mesh pockets don't close with a zipper, but they still hold whatever you put in them since they don't hang open. There is a zipped handle and an external zipped pocket for small papers or other flat, compact items. The pictures are beautiful and I really liked the design with deer 🦌. I was positively surprised! I bought this for my 12 year old granddaughter and she loves it! We took two gallon ziplock plastic bags and combined them into this great organizer.
