I wanted a mouse that could be used on a desk and carried in a backpack so I needed the on/off switch found here. I use my laptop with dual screen portable monitors that use both of my USB 3.0 ports and I needed a mouse that could work with the laptop without using the USB port. This mouse would connect with bluetooth and solve this problem. This mouse is great, it has multiple buttons, one wheel, two modes, it can work with Bluetooth or RF in USB. The software application wanted to update the firmware. If you are having trouble locking try to connect with a USB radio frequency as the bluetooth mode didn't work for me but on the first try it ended up with a radio USB connection. One AA battery required. Mouse feels great, precise movement, quiet, hard clicks. I would recommend.
