I really like this product. I've been using it in the shower for about two weeks. My skin looks and feels great every morning so this is a great way to start the day. Smells good. And its small exfoliating particles are enough to offer a light exfoliation without being too aggressive. It doesn't lather particularly well, but it doesn't have to. My face looks clean without feeling undressed. I have rosacea so I am very careful about the products I put on my face. This toner is great for me as it seems to have a calming effect on my skin. The redness on my face has noticeably decreased since using this product. However, this is a strange format - something like a liquid gel. It took me a while to realize this, however, because when I first opened it, it was completely liquid and had almost no exfoliating particles. Mine sat on my porch in sub-zero temperatures for several hours when it arrived, so I'm wondering if it had any impact on that. Or maybe I should have shaken it first? As soon as I shook it vigorously, everything seemed to smooth out on its own. Now it looks like a thin gel, which it probably should be. It's a little dirty so it's definitely better for use in the shower than over the sink in my opinion. I only use it in the morning so I can't say if it removes makeup and how. As a morning cleanser, I love it. my face too I recommend this product.
