This is a well tailored bag made from moderately soft suede with a generous thick leather strap. I dared to order it based on the exact match between the measured width and height of the rechargeable handguard and the published dimensions of the case. Turns out it was originally a snug-fitting "glove” that was just long enough to fully close the hand warmer by tugging hard on the drawstring. Because the leather stretched a bit under the "pull" of the fit, everything was fine enough to allow for easy insertion/removal of the hand warmer. Didn't try to light a heating pad in the pocket - the skin feels too thick to transfer much heat to the hand. But to protect the heating pad from dents and scratches when carried in a bag or backpack, it is ideal. I actually bought two bags, one for each pair of hand warmers. A much sturdier tote bag than a simple cloth bag.
