Product description is a bit misleading. Only one of the films (matt) protects against blue light. Glossy is basically a screen protector. If your screen size is 15.6 you may find that the lid is too small as it is also exactly 15.6 and there is absolutely no room for error in your setup. As far as protecting your eyes from blue light, I have no way of measuring that. But I've found that the screen resolution is reduced to the point where I can't see things clearly on the screen. (Probably my biggest complaint.) I gave 3 stars mainly for customer service as the seller offered a replacement when I screwed up the install the first time.
