Works on standard landline phones, not on phones with caller ID
I bought this for daisy chaining short phone cords. It does it very well BUT NOT ON FIXED PHONES WITH CALLER ID LIKE MY ATT TR1909. It disables identification and date/time stamping, but still offers a clear voice. So I say that a good product is to put regular landline coiled telephone cords in series with a regular telephone like the ATT 210.
- ** Compatible with RJ9 cables only. Not compatible with RJ45 Ethernet or RJ11 phone cords. RJ9 cables are commonly used to connect a handset to a phone base. An RJ11 cable connects the phone base to the wall socket. RJ45 cables are used for computers and laptops. Again, this connector ONLY works with RJ9 cables, not RJ11 or RJ45.
