Review on CargoLoc 32540 Crossbar Pad Piece by Chris Palmer

Inexpensive compared to the 3 inch foam insulation I was planning to buy. I use them on each side of my kayak stackers to indicate where the kayaks are on the rack. The disadvantage is that these pads have to be attached to the trunk with Velcro, otherwise they slip too easily during loading and unloading. I attached several Velcro straps to each of them. Poor quality fabric. It went from black to gray in about 2 weeks and would have preferred no logo on the fabric either. BUT compared to Yakima, Thule, and Dakine pads (which are overpriced with cloth-covered foam), they get the job done for a fraction of the price.
