Product works as advertised. It only levels itself when it's off a few degrees from horizontal, but it beeps to let you know the results are inaccurate. It can be tedious to use on very uneven surfaces, but some small manipulations to bring it closer to horizontal make it accurate and easy to use. NOTE: This is for INTERNAL use. This is stated in the user manual, but can be overlooked when purchasing. I was able to use it to fix uneven deck joists by waiting until 9pm. The green lights were easy to see at night but very faint even from 6ft in daylight. Overall it works as advertised at a price that I feel should have been added to my toolbox. As a do-it-yourselfer, I recommend this product. If you use it for large quantities or for external applications, you can upgrade to a higher-priced product.
