I have 4 laptops and 1 desktop, all with Samsung SSDs: 1. HP Specter x360 15t, 16GB RAM, 1TB SS PCIe NVMe M .2 SSD, 2 .AW17, 32GB RAM, 2x 1TB SS 840 PRO SSDs in RAID 0; 3. AW18 32GB RAM, 2 x 1TB SS 850 PRO SSD in RAID 0, 4. ASUS ROG G752VY, 64GB RAM, 2 x SS NVMe M.2 256 SSD and 5. Genesis Desktop PC, 64GB RAM bootable 1TB SS 960 PRO PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and 1TB SS 950 PRO SATA III SSD. I've owned an Alienware 17 for about 2.5 years and immediately replaced the hard drives with 5400rpm and I'm having performance issues. Samsung's reputation for quality SSDs is the main reason for purchasing this drive. This T3 portable SSD fits right under the fan of my 17" Thermaltake laptop that houses my HP x360 and plugs into one of the HP x360's two USB Type-C ports. lower than hard drives.
