This swim collar really works. Provides very strong buoyancy to keep my son's head above water while allowing his body to move freely underwater. My son is a special needs child. He is three years old with poor head control and low muscle tone. He likes to swim. This is the first collar we have used. However, I believe this one is intended for adults. Its thickness is greater than the length of my son's neck. Therefore, it is difficult to put on. Also, my son's cheeks are very pinched in the collar. I have to hold him to move the collar away from his cheek and neck to ensure blood is flowing to his head every 5 minutes as I don't know if the pressure of the collar is blocking or reducing blood flow to his head. One side of the collar always falls under the other. Sometimes water enters the ear from the bottom. I keep looking for another one suitable for the baby.
